Next Steps

We all have a next step. What's yours?

Planning a Visit

A typical service will last about 75 minutes. We sing a blend of modern and traditional  led by our worship team. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Plan to hang around after the service for fellowship and meeting new people.

What should I wear?
We don’t have any set dress code so we encourage you to dress how you feel most comfortable. Some of our members prefer jeans while others like to dress up a little more. It's up to you what you would like to wear. We just want you to feel welcome and comfortable while you are here!

Becoming a Member

The Bible talks about how important it is for Christians to live their lives together with other Christians (Hebrews 10:24-25). One of the most important things about us, is that God did not make us to live isolated lives. Instead, God calls us to live life in the context of community. Christian community helps us fight sin, grow in grace, deal with suffering and discouragement, grow in our ability to serve, worship, and so much more (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 3:12-14).

Our church is a group of people who: (1) believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, (2) commit to one another in membership, (3) gather together regularly to sing, pray, and hear God’s Word and be reminded of the gospel through Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Our church is a family, and we are excited to have you be a part of it. We are glad you are here, and eager to see the good things the Lord will do in our lives together as we commit to live it with one another.

We want to get to know you and your family as you seek to join First Baptist. If you are ready to live your  life on mission with the First Baptist family, then we want to encourage you to connect with one of our Pastors.

Becoming a Volunteer

God has given gifts to every single one of His people for the purpose of building up the church, and He has equipped you with everything you need to do His work.

First Baptist has a number of ways for individuals to put their gifting to work by serving the Lord and one another. As you explore the ministry needs of our church, prayerfully consider how you can use what God has given you for His glory.

We serve because He first served us. We have many areas to serve in from tech to childcare and welcome team. We would love to have you part of our team!

Baptism

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water (immersion) to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.
Are you ready to be baptized? We believe that taking this next step in your relationship with Jesus Christ is a very important step in your faith.
